After going to the dentist and discovering I didn’t have any cavities, I thought I deserved some celebrating with chocolate. I dropped by my local Capers Market where a bar from Zazubean Organic Chocolates named flirt stood out.
The packaging has a shocking pink eyelash on it with the tag line – Be Bold, Be Sexy. While it says Made in the US, it says formulated in Canada and looks like a Vancouver, BC company. It has a lot going for it – 70% cacao and 100% organic ingredients including acai berries and sour cherries. Acai berries are the hot food right now because they are very high in antioxidants. Their full lineup of chocolate bars are made from fair-trade cocoa beans.
The bar is a nice dark colour and has a smooth flavour with a crisp bite. The small bits of acai berries and sour cherries give a nice subtle sour taste. I definitely recommend this flavour combination. They promote sexy ingredients in their chocolate bars. Is that possible? Their website definitely is.
